Project Profile
The Forensic Science Project is a
project in which students will use
Primary Sources, Computer
Simulations, and the Internet to
discover how forensic scientists
solve crimes. Students will conduct
both on-line and off-line activities to
determine which forensic tests will
be needed
to solve a crime given certain
forensic clues.
Warning: This Topic should be
handled with sensitivity as to what
"Primary Sources" is shown to
middle school students.

Learning Objective
Upon completion of
this project, students
will  be able to
1) Find Primary Forensic Sources
on the Internet.
2)  Determine which forensic tests
scientist would need to conduct
based on the crime scene evidence.

"Primary Sources" were solved using the scientific
method and forensic science.

Sunshine State Standards
SSS:S.H.1.3
The Student uses the scientific processes and habits
of the mind to solve problems.
SSS:S.H.1.3.2
The students knows that the study of events that led
scientists to discoveries can provide information about
the inquiry process and its effects.
